I had to ask your forgiveness for something. I burned the bottom of the sesame bagel. I did eat it, but I feel bad having messed up a great Just Bagel bagel. Here’s what happened. My wife, Linda, “made me” watch a food network special on Katz’s Deli on the Lower East Side. It was her fault. I now know how Adam felt when Eve “made him” eat the apple. Well, God didn’t buy the excuse and blamed Adam, and I guess you’re not going to by my excuse, either. I must ‘fess up and own my irresponsibility.

I just wanted to say thank you for having your bagels available at QVC. I have never heard of your company before, and I tried them several months back and I am so glad that I did. Hi! I just received my shipment of sweet bagels from QVC. I had a plain one this morning and it is piece of food I have ever eaten! It is hands down THE food of the 2020 quarantine!

My question is about freezing the bagels – should I put each bag in another freezer bag to freeze? How long should they be in the oven when taken out of the freezer to eat?

Hi Cliff,
I just enjoyed one of your authentic plain bagels (split, lightly toasted faces spread with cream cheese, topped with salted sliced tomato), and as I had just come home from a haircut, the experience brought back wonderful memories. I used to take my single mom friend’s son for his monthly haircuts from ages six to twelve (He is almost 18 now, and looks as though he has not had his hair cut in years, but that’s his only adolescent rebellion.) As he was always so well behaved, his reward was to be dropped off at the nearby toy store for a look around (he would insist that I NOT buy him anything!) while I would walk a few storefronts down the street to buy two fresh plain bagels. Once home, we would split and toast and smear the bagels, and accompanied by fresh fruit and OJ we would thus complete the outing. When his mother inquired about this practice, Peter, at about age eight, replied, “It’s a tradition, Mom!” Thanks for continuing to provide the makings of many personal traditions.

We purchased your bagels from “The Q” when they were a special – and oh my gosh they are awesome! We had them the morning after they arrived and they were good, but not the crispy crunchy outside you get when you buy at a bagel shop. The second time we had them (from the freezer) we followed your instructions and … shaking my head… the BEST!!!!! We used to visit my grandparents in Jersey City in the 60’s and there was a bagel store around the corner – you brought me back to my “youth” (or is that Yoot).
